On the road...

On the road...

Well at long loooong last, we've finally hit the road, i thought this day would never come. We left Dublin, and after a short stop off in Barajas airport Madrid, we've landed in Buenos Aires, Argentina. First thing to hit us - the phenomenal heat, fantastic! (36 flippin degree!) Sure beats the winter winds of Belfast. Getting the shivers just thinking about that.
We're gona kick around Buenos Aires for a bit, explore the city and get used to speaking a wee bit of Spanish. "Dos cervezas por favor" (two beers please) for starters, its been a long day!

We're currently here on the map, then we'll be moving onto Ushuaia and the Patagonia region towards the south tip of Argentina / Chile in about a week or so. The natives here seem quite friendly and helpful, but no doubt we'll be on the receiving side few staring gazes.

Right I'll keep'm short, but so far so good!

If anyone is following this, keep in touch!

Darren.

Hi Darren - Great to hear you've started your travels and reached SA safely. You're missing 6 inches of snow and cold weather in Belfast!!
Keep updating the blog.

Getting up on these cold winter weeks and cycling into to London Town.... ya must be jealous of me Mac! Keep the updates coming! Love Elaine...
